The ML8511 is an easy-to-use ultraviolet light sensor. The MP8511 UV (ultraviolet) sensor emits an analog signal depending on the amount of UV light detected. This escape can be very useful for creating devices that warn the user of sunburns or detect the UV index with regard to weather conditions. The most effective range of light detected by the sensor is between 280 and 390 nm. It is part of the spectrum of UVB rays (burning rays) and most of the spectrum of UVA rays (tanning rays). It generates an analog voltage linearly linked to the measured UV intensity (mW / cm2). If your microcontroller can convert from analog to digital signal, then you can detect the UV level! The UV light ML8511 can be used with an analog voltage output proportional to the quantity. Since the output voltage can therefore be directly connected to the analog / digital analog / digital converter built by the MCU, no photoelectric conversion circuit. And the use of small, compact surface-mount boxes, suitable for portable devices.
