This infrared reflection sensor uses a TCRT5000 to detect color and distance. It emits IR and then detects if it receives the echo. This sensor is often used in line tracking robots, automatic recording of data on utility meters, because this module can detect whether a surface is white or black. The measurement range is 1 mm to 8 mm and the center point is approximately 2.5 mm. There is also a built-in potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity. The infrared diode continuously emits the infrared when the module is connected to the power supply, when the emitted infrared light has not been reflected or the power is not large enough, the triode goes into the blocked state , at this instant, output logic D0 LOW and the signal indicates that the LED is off.
